Design Challenge: Transforming the former Rozzi Fireworks plant into the Home of the Brave park was a challenge for Symmes Township. MSP Design was chosen to provide our park planning expertise to accomplish this task. The site was particularly sensitive because it was previously used as testing grounds for fireworks.

Design Solution: Based on input from interested stakeholders, MSP developed a master plan. The goal was to address the stakeholders wants and needs for active and passive recreation. MSP prepared construction documents for the implementation of all approved park elements. Our surveyors worked closely with the previous landowner to provide a topographic survey for the site.

Design Outcome: The completed Home of the Brave park is a popular destination for residents of Symmes Township and beyond. It includes athletic fields, restroom/shelter buildings, trails and bikeways, parking, playgrounds, a splash pad, a stormwater management system, and a memorial honoring the veterans of Symmes Township.
