Design Challenge: The City of Milford needed design input to transform the vacant property on Main Street and Lila Avenue, formerly Milford Main Middle School, into Five Points Landing Park, a civic space. MSP undertook the task of developing a design strategy.

Design Solution: MSP integrated various elements into the area, including streetscape enhancements, spaces for social activities, on-street parking, and connections to the surrounding neighborhood. They prioritized sustainable design principles.

Design Outcome: Five Points Landing park’s development will proceed in three phases, based on funding availability and levy approvals. Phase I, currently underway, focuses on constructing walking paths, a farmers market, water features, landscaping, greenspace, and an outdoor performance area, slated for completion in Fall 2023. Phase II will add a pavilion, and Phase III will feature the installation of a clock tower.
