Design Challenge: The departure of horse racing and demolition of an aging grandstand facility gave Warren County the opportunity to consider alternative options for a replacement venue on the Warren County Fairgrounds. To fulfill the needs of the annual Warren County Fair and also address a growing demand for upscale, year-round events, the Warren County Fairgrounds Event Center (WCFEC) was proposed. New events would include meetings, trade shows, conferences, weddings and banquets,

Design Solution: Collaborating with the Warren County Board of Commissioners, Warren County Agricultural Society, and Conger Construction, MSP designed the (WCFEC) as a multi-functional facility with operable partitions and additional break-out spaces to accommodate simultaneous events for small or large groups.

Design Outcome: The completed Warren County Event Center is booking a variety of year-round events. This would not have been possible with the previous grandstand structure. The traditional exterior design fits with the character of the existing campus buildings. The modern interior creates a welcoming environment for all visitors.
