Design Challenge: Hills Properties wanted to create a high-density, upscale community at the Savoy at the Streets of West Chester mixed-use Town Center. The project covered 11.89 acres and required master planning, landscape architecture, engineering, and surveying. Hills Properties aimed to combine owner-occupied condos and apartments into a pedestrian-friendly environment that integrates with existing commercial areas.

Design Solution: MSP provided comprehensive design services, focusing on enhancing walkability and integrating multiple pedestrian links. We incorporated streetscape designs connecting various amenities to the core commercial mixed-uses. The project included a rooftop plaza and garden over a parking structure and an adjoining pool facility. These elements provided residents with recreational options while maintaining a cohesive and inviting community space.

Design Outcome: The completed Savoy at The Streets of West Chester combined luxury living spaces with convenient access to commercial areas. The project won the 2017 National Excellence Award by the National Apartment Associations. The thoughtful integration of landscape architecture, urban design, and recreational facilities fostered a sense of community and enhanced the quality of life for residents.
