MSP’s Dedication to Women in Surveying

Cara summit 2

A dynamic mother-daughter team is exploring the surveying world together. Cara Tryling, a skilled CADD Technician/Field Crew Chief at MSP, recently enjoyed an exciting weekend at the 4th Women’s Surveyors Summit in Stillwater, Minnesota, alongside her mom. The summit united 120 female surveyors worldwide, sharing diverse perspectives and experiences.

Cara’s surveying journey began early, with her mom earning her first license in 1997, a year before Cara’s birth. This industry has always been a part of Cara’s life, and attending this summit fueled her desire to dive deeper into the field. For her, the summit symbolized women uniting and showing what it truly means to thrive in a traditionally male-dominated profession.

Joining MSP about a year and a half ago, Cara dove headfirst into her role with passion and determination. As a licensed Part 107 pilot with the FAA, a Professional Surveyor, and actively pursuing her master’s degree, Cara has achieved remarkable milestones in her career.

At MSP, we believe in fostering the growth and success of women in the field, just like Cara. We’re eager to support more aspiring women in the future, contributing to their journey to success. Our commitment to empowering women in the industry remains strong. We look forward to being part of many more success stories.
