MSP Host Third Annual Session with CAMP
On October 18, MSP hosted its third annual mentoring session with the Cincinnati Architectural Mentoring Program (C.A.M.P.), continuing our commitment to supporting the next generation of design professionals.
Students participating in the program spent the day at MSP’s office gaining insight into how architects, landscape architects, interior designers, civil engineers, and surveyors collaborate throughout the planning, design, and construction phases of a project.
The session was led by MSP architects, Zoë Gizara, AIA, and David Clark, AIA, and featured interactive activities, including a mini design charrette that challenged students to position a building on a complex site.
A little more about C.A.M.P.:
In addition to a one-week summer day camp at the University of Cincinnati for rising 8th and 9th graders, the Cincinnati Architectural Mentoring Program offers a year around mentoring experience for students in grades 8–12 who are interested in exploring architecture through hands-on learning in a small group setting. This takes student through real world examples that encourage them to explore their creative and technical outlets. Hosted by local architecture firms, the program guides students through 10 sessions that highlight the creativity, precision, and collaboration that define the architectural profession.
