Andrew Dodds, MSP newest Associate

The MSP Associate Program has been created for the purpose of identifying leadership, excellence and performance within our organization and to reward individuals whose performance excels in areas deemed vital to our continued successful operation. The Associate Program is designed to broaden selected individuals’ understanding of and contribution to the success of MSP and to reward those selected for their contributions to that end. The Associate Program recognizes leadership potential as well as individual achievements; however, the optimal environment within MSP remains one of teamwork and collaboration amongst all departments.

Associate Program includes Andrea Fullbeck Andrew Dodds, Bryan Grome, Emily Lubbers, and Louis Hanser II.

When did you come to MSP?

February 2014-December 2018, November 2020-current

What is your role at MSP and what are your job responsibilities?

Project Manager; Design of civil engineering aspects of projects, manage the coordination between consultants, and review jurisdictions. Developing and managing project budgets and schedules, maintaining and meeting the client’s needs and expectations.

How long have you worked within this industry?

11.5 years

What does being an associate mean to you?

It means that all the hard work I’ve put into my craft/career is being noticed, valued, and worth the effort spent.

What is your favorite part about your job?

Being able to drive by a project I worked on/designed.

During your time at MSP, what has been the coolest project you’ve worked on so far?

Freedom Point; Requires a ton of coordination between several entities. A large county interchange project was incorporated as well as a Costco warehouse.

Tell us something most people would be surprised to learn about you?

I worked 1 season for the Cincinnati Bengals, as the visitor team locker room and field attendant

What is something that you enjoy doing outside of work?

I enjoy spending time with my Wife and kids and also playing golf.

How has your career grown since starting at MSP?

I’ve spent the bulk of my career at MSP, so growth has been quite significant. I’ve learned a lot here.
