Craig Whittaker: Celebrating 36 Years at MSP Design

Craig Whittaker is retiring

After 36 years with MSP Design, we celebrate the retirement of Craig Whittaker. His official last day is December 23. As a result, colleagues and friends recently gathered to recognize Craig and thank him for his lasting contributions. This milestone reflects the dedication Craig brought to MSP Design since 1989.

Craig joined MSP Design in 1989 and became a constant presence in the office. Over time, he worked on nearly every project type the firm delivers. He brought a strong understanding of construction documents and a steady focus on doing things right. When a challenge came up, Craig stepped in and kept work moving forward.

Beyond project work, Craig supported the firm in practical and meaningful ways. For example, he built shelving for the survey trucks and helped start the office recycling program. He also stepped in wherever help was needed. Those efforts showed his care for both the work and the people at MSP Design.

Craig also shaped MSP through shared experiences and daily interactions. Meanwhile, long days in the field and stories from past projects became part of office life. His calm presence and reliability defined his role for more than three decades.

As Craig looks ahead to travel and a train trip through Canada, we thank him for his time and commitment. Ultimately, Craig’s impact will remain part of MSP Design for years to come. Congratulations, Craig, and thank you for everything.
