The Rumpke business previously operated in multiple locations and wanted to consolidate to a single location. The first design challenge was providing a facility that would minimize culture shock and accommodate a new business model. We carefully studied their existing operations along with current best practices to design a state of the art facility.
The second major challenge was the need to provide a modern building that still embraced traditional “brick and mortar” esthetic preferred by the ownership. We accomplished this by marrying modern design principles with traditional ones. The result was fusion of modern and traditional design aesthetics.
The third challenge was incorporating cutting edge technologies including chilled beam heating and cooling, advanced building integration systems, and state of the art security and communications, with a comfortable, homelike environment. This was achieved by carefully blending the technologies with comprehensive interior design and furniture selection allowing the technology to show through, but not at the expense of the user experience.
