Design Challenge: With a need for tools and guidance for sustained growth, the Village of Yellow Springs sought a planning team to update its 2010 comprehensive land use plan with a new 15 year plan. Public input was key to determining the way the village could grown and change.

Design Solution: Through a collaborative effort, the planning team of MSP Design and Community Planning Insight (CPI) created a plan based on an interactive public engagement strategy that reached all elements of the community. This included urban design guidelines that encourage the type of development the village desires and recommendations on future public facility infrastructure and housing solutions.

Design Outcome: The updated comprehensive land plan provides a road map for the Village of Yellow Springs that will guide future development and mitigate impacts of future development from adjacent jurisdictions.
