On Friday, June 29 we joined our partners The Model Group, Cincinnati Union Bethel, Christ Church Cathedral, and Walnut Hills Redevelopment Foundation for the groundbreaking of the Cincinnati Scholar House project in Walnut Hills.

MSP Design provided architecture, landscape architecture, civil, mechanical, and electrical engineering, plumbing and interior design services to the project.

Upon completion, the four-story 63,300 SF mixed-use building will house three stories of residential units for low income single parents enrolled in post-secondary education and their dependent children. The first floor includes a five-classroom daycare to service the residents along with an art gallery and retail space. Financing was made possible by the following organizations: Ohio Housing Finance Agency, Ohio Capital Corporation for Housing, Chase Bank, Fifth Third, Federal Home Loan Bank of Cincinnati.

Cincinnati Scholarship House is a transitional learning-living program for single parents providing housing, on-site daycare, and an adult support program.
